About Gaddi Trails

Gaddi trails is a holistic adventure company based out of the kangra valley in himachal pradesh. Having ancestral roots in the valley enables us to handpick the most incredible experiences , offbeat destinations and tailor meaningful holidays.

We here at Gaddi trails actively incorporate sustainable travel practices into our work, we aim to reduce our impact on the environment and make our travels more sustainable. This can include using public transportation or carpooling to minimize fuel consumption, choosing lodging and activities that prioritize eco-friendly practices, by changing the conventional way travelers holiday. Our aim is to bring people closer to nature, sensitize them to the natural habitat that surrounds us and allow us to connect to nature mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Come explore the lesser known aspects of the Western Himalaya for a more organic sense of the hills.

The Kangra valley is situated in the western Himalaya and is one of the most picturesque valleys of Himachal Pradesh. It is sheltered by the green, luxuriant and sublime Dhauladhar range to the north. The valley has an average elevation of 2000. Feet is lined with numerous perennial streams. The Kangra valley is also well known for its tea gardens , ancient temples and a tradition of arts and craft which have continued to evolve from ancient times which have found lyrical expression in folklore and folk songs.

With spectacular snowy peaks and plunging river valleys, beautiful Himachal is India’s outdoor adventure playground. From trekking and climbing to rafting, paragliding and skiing, if it can be done in the mountains, it can be done here. A convoluted topography of interlocking mountain chains also makes Himachal a spectacular place simply to explore, by bus, car, motorbike, jeep or foot. Every pass crossing into a new valley brings you into a different culture, with its own deities and language. Villages perched on staggering slopes enchant with fairy-tale architecture and residents’ easygoing warmth. Hill stations appeal with a holiday atmosphere, while backpacker magnets lure with chilled-out vibes and mountain beauty. In the Dalai Lama’s home-away-from-home, McLeod Ganj, or in remote Lahaul and Spiti with their centuries-old Buddhist cultures, you might wonder whether you’ve inadvertently stumbled into Tibet.
